Scholarships

This section gives an outline of the application modalities and all the requirements to apply for a Scholarship.

Before applying, applicants are asked to inform themselves about:

-        the range of study programmes offered at the host universities;

-        the eligibility criteria

-        language requirements;

-        any specific admission requirements;

-        information (study programmes, course catalogue, ECTS etc.) provided at the websites of the individual host universities.

 

The teaching language is the local language of the hosting University. Local language courses are provided from English.

Students may be tutored in English by the teachers to be more comfortable in their studies.

University of Sannio and all EU partners provides the following institutional services:

-       University Language centre – Specific Italian courses are delivered to the EM students, from English at the beginning of each semester. The course can be followed also twice if needed at not charge

-        Libraries for each department of the University. Access allowed with the student card. Rules of book lending showed in the Library

-        Student Dormitory and apartments

-        Accomodation finding befire the student arrives, by the International office of the University of Sannio

-      All buiding are wheelchair accessible

 

Candidates for all levels may apply for different host universities with priority. In addition to filling in the online application (main data, information about, TG, home and host university, language skills, motivation letter, intended period of mobility), applicants will need to upload the following documents:

 

Undergraduate students:

- Tentative study plan on the topics to study

- CV

- Copy of passport or other official identification proof (optional but must submit after selection)

- Recommendation letters (optional, but must submit after selection)

- Language certificates on English profiency

- Certificates and transcripts of record

- For students applying in Target Group 3, an official Document confirming the candidate meets the requirements for Target Group 3

 

Master students:

- Tentative study plan on the topics to study

- CV

- Copy of passport or other official identification proof (optional but must submit after selection)

- Recommendation letters (optional, but must submit after selection)

- Language certificates on English profiency

- For students applying in Target Group 3, an official Document confirming the candidate meets the requirements for Target Group 3

Doctorate students:

- Research/study proposal

- CV

- Copy of passport or other official identification proof

- Recommendation letters (at least two)

- Language certificates on English profiency.

- Certificates: bachelor degree or equivalent, master degree or equivalent) and Transcripts of records

- Certification or attestate to be Ph.D. candidate in his Home Country

- Academic record, list of publications (if available)

- For students applying in Target Group 3, an official Document confirming the candidate meets the requirements for Target Group 3

 

Post-doctorate:

 - Research/teaching/training proposal

- CV

- Copy of passport or other official identification proof

- Recommendation letters (at least two)

- Language certificates on English profiency.

- Certificates (bachelor degree or equivalent) and transcripts of record

- Master degree certificate or equivalent and transcripts of record

- PhD certificates and transcripts of record

- Academic record, list of publications (if available)

- Document indicating the candidate belongs to Target Group 3 (only for post-doctorates applying for Target Group 3)

Academic and administrative staff:

- Research/teaching/training proposal

- CV

- Copy of passport or other official identification proof

- Language certificates on English profiency.

- Letter of interest: This letter is optional and may specify the academic/administrative interest of the host institution in hosting the applicant:

- Academic record, list of publications (applicable for academic staff)

- Description of work experience (applicable for administrative staff)

The applicant will be responsible for uploading all obligatory documents.

Applicants will be requested to upload scanned versions of all original documents (transcripts of record, diploma, degree certificates, language certificates etc.). In addition, scanned versions of certified translations/official translations of all these documents into English or the language of the host country are obligatory. All selected scholars will be advised to check with their host universities if there are specific deadlines for submitting original documents. Admission criteria of all partner institutions in the consortium have to be respected. All applicants will need to check the general information sheet of the respective host university.

In case, applicants do not have all required documents at the end of the call (e.g. they have not obtained their degree yet, but will have obtained it once the mobility starts), they will be asked to get in touch with the respective host university. In case the official LEADER contact person at the host university exceptionally agrees that some documents can be sent after the application deadline, this email conversation should be copied & pasted and uploaded in the online application as an explanation. In case the application is successful, scholars will be conditionally accepted and given a certain deadline in order to submit the missing documents. However, applicants who have submitted complete applications by uploading all required documents will be favoured.

The CV needs to be filled in as accurately as possible based on the provided format. It needs to be clear from the information in the CV that applicants from Asian countries have not resided nor carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of the European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Turkey, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)

 

If applicants belong to Target Group 2:

- for the mobility from Asia to the EU:

a) They must upload a document which certifies that they are currently registered as a regular student at a non-partner Asian university (study confirmation); or

b) If they are not a student anymore, but graduated some time ago at any Asian university (partner as well as non-partner universities), applicants are asked to upload their degree certificate in order to prove they have obtained a degree from a higher education institution at any Asian university.

- for the mobility from the EU to Asia (only Master, Doctoral, Post Doc and Staff)

a) They must upload a document which certifies that they are currently registered as a regular student at a non-partner EU university (study confirmation); or

b) If they are not a student anymore, but graduated some time ago at any EU university (partner as well as non-partner universities), applicants are asked to upload their degree certificate in order to prove they have obtained a degree from a higher education institution at any EU university.

The LEADER consortium is very committed to doing justice to social equity and to set proactive measures to encourage vulnerable groups as well as socially and economically disadvantaged people. In order for the consortium to act accordingly, more clearly defined eligibility guidelines for Target Group 3 candidates will be put in place by the project management board (PMB) and communicated in a transparent way. In order to define these specific eligibility guidelines for Target Group 3, the LEADER consortium will make use of the expertise provided by the partner institutions, EC delegations, associate partners, national Tempus Offices as well as other stakeholders who have expertise in this field. Students from Target Group 3 will be taken into special consideration in the context of the promotion and selection procedure and receive special support by the consortium.
